The Song: Inside and Out Episode #0012 “Death Watch Blues”

October 13, 2015 By Blake Clayton Leave a Comment

We have known Rachel Brooke for years and she has been on IBWIP more times than any other artist… EVER! This time she joins us to talk about her song, “Death Watch Blues” which also features Lonesome Wyatt. The song is on their album “Bad Omen”. It was great to catch up with Rachel and discuss songwriting, following up “A Bitter Harvest”, and more. We talk about what inspired “Death Watch Blues” as well as the collaboration process between her and Lonesome Wyatt. We talk about touring, and her upcoming 7” record. It’s always great to have Rachel on the show. She is an amazing singer and songwriter and well worth checking out.

Don’t forget if there is an artist who has a song you want to hear about “Inside & Out” just email us at thesonginsideandout@yahoo.com.

About Blake Clayton

Also known as “Self Proclaimed The Podcasting God”, Blake is the creator and host of IBWIP. After failed marriages and a failed business venture in plastic sporks, he found that he had a talent (and a face) for podcasting. He is hoping to strike it rich, he started It Burns When I Pee. Over the years, Blake has become a pioneer in the campaign to promote the Roots music and the artists who create it.
