Staring out as just a devoted fan of the show, Amish BJ bust onto IBWIP in late 2010 to help Blake continue the tradition of great side kicks on the show. Not only is he quick witted but also has a great knowledge of the “underground” scene. He has been on a permanent “verbal contract” with IBWIP and there is no signs of him leaving the show (this could be a record because Blake never holds a co-host for more than a year). Living 700 miles apart hasn’t stopped the dynamic duo from continuing the great IBWIP tradition.
Amish BJ grew up listening to punk music. He stole yard orderment’s and pumpkins, and is an avid paint baller (ask him and he will tell you that he is like a ninja with a paint ball gun). It has been said that he once shot a man from point blank range for talking shit about Neil Diamond. For those you that know BJ it’s hard to believe that he use to be a hired hit man for the Canadian Mounty Police. Since becoming a devoted husband and father, BJ has toned it down and become the great Amish ambassador that he is today.
Another fact that you might want to know about BJ is that he is addicted to bacon. He would wrap bacon around anything that doesn’t move and cook it. Add the fact that he loves his PBR’s cold and often you can see how 10 minutes with him and you’ll think of him as a best buddie.
Not only is BJ the co-host for IBWIP but he also has his own show, BJ’s Happy Hour, every Friday night on Savingcountrymusic.com. He has spun records on his show for over 4 hours at times. A great lover of this music genre, we also hear that he isn’t too shabby in the sack either.
