Stop the press! Amish Beej returns to IBWIP. He joins Negative Nick, Cute Jason, and Blake to bring you another great live episode. We play music from Dog Bite Harris, Lou Shields, Carrie Nation & The Speakeasy, and The Barnyard Stompers. The rest of the show is filled to the brim with laughs.

In this episode we get all the details about Christyfest II (which takes place on October 19th). We also update everyone on the S&M Radio Facebook page deal that Mollz and Blake had. Since Amish Beej has returned we of course play Would You Rather. We get a sports update from Ted Muffin and discuss Blake’s experience buying a new car.

We also go through our large bucket of Fan Feedback and review Muddy Roots 2013. We praise Vince Gill for his interaction with The Westboro Baptist Church and finally we try a new bit called ‘IBWIP Preforms/Translates Shakespeare. All in all it was a damn good time. When you think of Blues music in the roots genre there is one name that comes to mind first… Husky Burnette.  The one and only Husky Burnette makes his first appearance in the dirty stalls of It Burns When I Pee. In the interview we talk about his new album “Tales From East End Blvd”. We also discuss how he got connected with Rusty Knuckles Music, touring, and of course we couldn’t leave out his recent engagement. It Burns When I Pee Episode #0109 “Anthropomorphizing”

EP109 brings Negative Nick and Jason back in the studio to join Blake in saluting the Beatles. Of course we salute them IBWIP style. We have special guest Mark David Chapman to host Beatles trivia and we were lucky enough to have the actual Beatles LIVE in the studio too!

We also have Negative Nick and Jason play “Do You Know The Lyrics”. It’s obvious that one of them knows his Beatles songs and one does. Negative Nick gives us his Bottom Ten and Blake suddenly decides that he knows a bunch of facts about God.

And finally we have John, Paul, and Ringo in the studio for a segment. They talk about Twitter, Ringo’s songwriting, and most importantly how John is in the studio after being shot in the back and killed. We are also lucky to have Zombie Kitty’s IBWIP debut. She gives her report on how young people today see the Beatles.

It Burns When I Pee Episode #0108 “An Interview with Danny Kay and The Nightlifers”

In mid July I was lucky enough to have Danny Kay and The Nightlifers crash at my place while they were coming through town on their way to Farm Fest 2013. After their gig in Pekin Illinois at the High Note Danny and I sat down at 1:30am and did an interview. Danny and I talk about how he got into Rockabilly, song writing, Kickstarter, and his new album Crazy Lonesome Blues. Rorie (the IBWIP mascot) even joins the interview. It’s a great time and I am sure that you will enjoy getting to know Danny Kay a little better.

In this episode, we feature an interview with our long time friend Joey Allcorn. Joey is putting together a CD project to benefit The Hank Williams Museum. It’s a really interesting project that includes artist such as Jake Penrod, Rachel Brooke, and many more. In the interview we also discuss “Nothin Left To Prove” which is a new album that Joey has in the works as well as his involvement with the “Outlaws Still At Large” book by Neil Alexander Hamilton.

It Burns When I Pee Episode #0105 “Bacon Soda of Ipecac”

This episode of IBWIP is one of a kind. We invite a couple new players into IBWIP Studio and by the end of the show we are glad we did. Negative Nick and Jason join Mute Jacob and Blake around a table and the rest is radio gold.

In this episode we play unreleased music from Joey Allcorn, some Sturgill Simpson, new Dog Bite Harris, Bloody Ol’ Mule, and legendary Jerry Jeff Walker.

This episode is pure radio gold from start to finish. We play an interesting round of Would You Rather, Stay In Character, and we get a visit from world famous Wife Whisperer, Stevon Piere Lions. Be prepared folks because you won’t stop laughing for 2 straight hours!

We also give Mute Jacob some tips to help him get laid, Blake talks about Molly and her recent jealousy issues, and we drink Bacon Soda. There is so much more by why ruin all the excitement.

It Burns When I Pee Episode #0104 “An Interview with Joey Henry”

In the six years I have been doing IBWIP, there have been only a handful of times where I have walked away for interview and knew that it was perfect. This interview is one of those times. I was honored to have Joey Henry inside the dirty stalls of IBWIP. Most of you know Joey as the singer/banjo player of The Calamity Cubes, but he also has a solo career as Joey Henry’s Dirty Sunshine Club.

In the interview, Joey and I discuss everything from pinball, sobriety, photography, and of course his upcoming release called, “The Eyes and Ears Around Us Vol #1 and Vol #2”. Joey is an amazing songwriter, musician, and most of all he is an amazing person. I hope that you enjoy this interview as much as I enjoyed doing it.
