It Burns When I Pee Episode #0124 “An Interview with Mikey Classic”

We have another member of the Farmageddon Records family in the dirty stalls of It Burns When I Pee. Mikey Classic is the front man for The Goddamn Gallows but has recently released a solo album, “Mikey Classic and His Lonesome Spur”. We discuss performing with the Gallows verse solo, how he got started playing the banjo, as well as how he met Fishgutzz and the rest of the band. We also talk about songwriting from “a darker side of life” point of view, his start in music playing in punk bands, and his thoughts on the crowds that the Gallows draw. It was great finally having Mikey on the show. Check it out and listen to a couple songs from the solo album.

It’s been a long time since we have had The Original Dirty Ol’ One Man Band Mr. Scott H. Biram on the show, about 6 and a half to be correct. Scott’s new album “Nothing But Blood” is coming out on Feb 4th and he is in the dirty stalls of IBWIP to talk about it. We also discuss everything from guitars, his grandfather, and even asian massage parlors. We also talk about the rise in popularity of one man bands, his growth as a song writer, and his recording of the new album. We play a couple of songs from the new album including “Church Point Girl” and “When I Die”, as well as one of our all time favorites “Whiskey”. It’s always a great time talking to Scott and this interview is no exception. This is a don’t miss episode for sure.

We are proud to have Chelsea McBee back in the dirty stalls of IBWIP. In this interview we talk about her new album “The Whiskey Album” which features her band The Random Assortment. We also play 2 new songs from the album, The Devil Himself and Try Again. As well as one of my favorite Chelsea tunes Audrey Pearl.

Of course the interview doesn’t just stop at music talk. We discuss Whiskey, tattoos, lottery tickets, road rage, and much more. This is one of those interviews that is just plain fun to listen to. Chelsea is an amazing artist. If you haven’t heard her music then you should definitely check out this interview.

It was great to finally get Ray Vietti of The Harmed Brothers in the dirty stalls to talk about their new album, “Better Days”. In the interview, we talk about how Ray got into playing guitar, song writing, Willie Tea, and how Ray and Alex met. Ray also discusses the process for putting the new album together and one of the main sacrifices that comes with being a traveling musician. Last False Hope has released their first full length album, “Dig Nails Deep” so we got frontman Jahshie P. in the dirt stalls of IBWIP to talk about it. In this interview, we talk about having Shooter Jennings produce the album, the growth of the band, and the cover art. We also discuss the many hats that Jahshie P. wears. He is a podcaster, festival organizer, DJ, runs a label, and most of all is a father. It was great chatting with my ol’ friend and we hope you enjoy this interview.
